1. Terms of Service
1.1 Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User,” “Student,” or “Subscriber”) and Bible Doctrine Academy (hereinafter referred to as “Bible Doctrine Academy,” “BDA,” “we,” or “us”).
By accessing the website BibleDoc.Academy (the “Site”), creating an account, or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund Policy.
Future Assignment: You acknowledge and agree that upon the formation of “Bible Doctrine Academy LLC” (or a similarly named entity) under the laws of the State of Texas, this Agreement and all rights, obligations, and liabilities of the service provider herein shall automatically be assigned to said Limited Liability Company without need for further notice.
1.2 Merchant of Record (Paddle)
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller, Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries regarding payments and handles returns.
- Contracting Party: When you purchase a subscription, you are entering into a contract with Paddle.
- Paddle Terms: Your transaction is subject to the(https://paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) and Paddle Privacy Policy.
1.3 Religious Education Disclaimer
NOTICE: Bible Doctrine Academy is a religious educational institution.
- Unaccredited Status: We are NOT ACCREDITED by any agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).
- Religious Exemption: Our curriculum is designed solely for religious vocation, ministry preparation, and spiritual enrichment. In accordance with the Texas Supreme Court ruling in HEB Ministries v. THECB, our programs are exempt from state regulation regarding curriculum content.
- No State Licensure: Our “Certificates” (e.g., Certificate in Biblical Literacy) are religious designations. They do not meet educational requirements for state-licensed professions (e.g., public school teaching, counseling, social work). Credits earned here are unlikely to transfer to secular universities.
1.4 Subscription and Billing
- Subscription Fee: Access to the curriculum is provided via a subscription of $1.00 USD per month or $10.00 USD per year
- Automatic Renewal: By subscribing, you authorize Paddle to automatically charge your payment method $1.00 at the start of every billing cycle until you cancel.
- Cancellation (Click-to-Cancel): You may cancel your subscription at any time. Consistent with Texas Business & Commerce Code Chapter 611, we provide a simple online cancellation method. You can cancel directly in your User Dashboard or via the link in your Paddle email receipt. You are not required to email support to cancel.
- Price Changes: We reserve the right to change our pricing. Any price changes will be communicated to you at least 30 days in advance.
1.5 User Conduct
You agree to use the Site for lawful purposes only. You may not:
- Share your login credentials with others.
- Redistribute, sell, or broadcast course video content.
- Use our content to train Artificial Intelligence models.
- Harass other users or post objectionable content in community forums.
